The energy management approaches for microgrid (MG) systems have received a lot of attention in recent years. The goal of integrating an Energy Management System (EMS) into MG and/or buildings is to increase energy efficiency and save energy costs. This page provides an overview of several MG electrical topologies, as well as some prominent MG concepts that incorporate EMS. Some AI-based (AI) methods in the EMS sector, such as Artificial Neural Networks (ANN), Fuzzy Logic (FL), Machine Learning (ML), and Expert Systems (ES), are also investigated.
