College English courses have both humanistic and instrumental characteristics. Mining students' humanistic spirit in English teaching, cultivating students' Core Socialist Values, and carrying forward Chinese excellent traditional culture have become the inevitable requirements of college English curriculum teaching in the new era. The application of the "Internet plus" college English curriculum ideological and political teaching model in colleges and universities from the perspective of moral education aims to better implement the curriculum ideology and achieve the goal of moral education, which is the inevitable requirement of college English curriculum reform in the new era. Based on a brief overview of the construction of ideological and political education in English major courses in universities, this article analyzes the problems faced when integrating ideological and political education into courses and proposes the paths and key points for the infiltration of ideological and political education in courses based on actual situations, in order to provide reference for relevant teaching activities.
