A robot is a machine which isdesigned to perform one or more tasks simultaneously and frequently with speed and precision. It is a virtual artificial mediator, usually an electro-mechanical machine that is directed by a computer program to perform tasks based on electronic circuitry and functionality. Robots have replaced humans in performing repetitive and dangerous tasks which humans not prefer to do because of size limitations. Robots are designed to do the operations in extreme environments such as outer space, the bottom of the sea etc.,This paper gives a broad idea about designing a remotely controlled two-wheeled robotic rover over a Wi-Fi network by using an Arduino Uno connected to an ESP8266 Wi-Fi module.
