Autonomous construction vehicles are self-operating heavy machinery using AI, GPS, LiDAR, and sensors to perform tasks. Autonomous construction equipment, such as dozers, excavators, load carriers, and haul trucks, are driverless machines that can be used to perform a variety of jobs on construction sites. Autonomous equipment is transforming industries with automation, efficiency, and sustainability, driving market growth worldwide. Construction companies are increasingly turning to autonomous heavy equipment to tackle challenges such as labor shortages, safety concerns, and productivity demands. Autonomous vehicles offer the potential to reduce human error, improve precision, and optimize workflows. In this paper, we will explore the emergence of autonomous equipment in the construction industry.
