Medical images should be analysed accurately for deciding the suitable treatment plan. The major issue is that the images taken from the scanner directly will be affected by noise and othervariation. To overcome this issue, appropriate techniques should be applied to clean the data and to identify the Region of Interest. Research in the field of medical image processing has improved extensively, helping the medical practitioners to diagnose the disease undoubtedly.In this paper, different techniques such as image segmentation, image registration anddimensionality reduction are studied in detail for improving the quality of the medical images.
